Boivin Stylized Cat Pendant
This stylized Cat Pendant by René Boivin dates from the 70’s, and is designed in blackened white gold and silver with emerald eyes. This a highly collectable piece from Paris’ René Boivin jewellery house, whose animal and nature-inspired designs influenced jewellery design throughout the 20th Century. The pendant comes with a certificate from Francoise Cailles, the expert and author of the Boivin book. Made in the 1970s.
Unique, inventive, and bold are words that sum up the house of René Boivin’s approach to jewellery. Established by Jules René Boivin in the late 1890s, upon his death in 1917 the house was taken over by his wife Jeanne Boivin, who was the sister of couturier Paul Poiret.
