We are already past mid September and fall is upon us. Days are shorter, tank tops have been replaced by jackets and scarves and along with the new season new trends have surfaced. Classic and punk, chokers and earrings, pops of colour and statement pieces. The biggest fashion houses have set the Autumn Jewellery Trends for 2019, Vogue made the selections and following in their footsteps is Auverture with our own favourite pieces that fall into these categories. Take a look!
Classic is never out of style and this season cameos, pearls and fine gold chains made the cut. Some pieces were smaller and other more substantial but beautiful and so chic nonetheless.
The Cameo technique is one of the oldest in the world, and is used by only a few of our designers. Amongst them are Amedeo and Ana Katarina whose pieces are shown below. From a statement monkey ring, to big red lips on necklaces these two designers have their own take on cameo jewellery.
Meanwhile, pearls always make the cut and at Auverture we can offer you so many designs that anyone would fall in love with. In case you want to go small then the Annoushka Diamond and Pearl stud is perfect. If you like chokers and fine pieces then the Mizuki choker is the choice for you or maybe the Sophie Bille Brahe single earring that features a cluster of freshwater pearls on a hoop.
DIAMONDS & PEARL STUD by Annoushka– €800
BOTTICELLI HOOP SINGLE EARRING by Sophie Bille Brahe– €530
Moving on to fine gold chains as part of the Autumn Jewellery trends, there are a few earrings we would love to highlight. There is a specific piece though that intertwines both pearls and chains and that is the Sophie Bille Brahe Babylon Single Earring, as seen below. The other pieces focus on two of the newest designers that have joined the Auverture family; Celine Daoust and Ara Vartanian.
BABYLON SINGLE EARRING by Sophie Bille Brahe– €470
MOBILE EARRINGS by Ara Vartanian– €11,300
As the french Vogue put it: ‘Grungy, androgynous silhouettes crossed the runways, with boxy designs and check prints evoking the rebellious spirit of the late 1970s.’ That is exactly what the jewellery below portrays and if you’re into that sort of thing, which you should be because punk is oh so cool, then scroll down to see more.
TWISTER OF THOUGHTS RING by Gaelle Khouri– €6,008
GENESIS CHOKER by Gaelle Khouri– €5,550
Statement earrings will always be ‘in’. In the previous blogpost where Spring/ Summer Jewellery trends were discussed big, jaw dropping earrings were also featured. This time we picked three of our favourites for you.
BUTTERFLY CHANDELIER EARRINGS by Annoushka– €18,000
RUCHED RIBBON EAR SPIKES by Nak Armstrong– €7,420
Autumn and winter days are so grey hence, a pop of colour is vital and much appreciated. You can opt for smaller or bigger pieces depending on what you like. French Vogue says the fashion giants have gone all out this season with crazy colours in jewellery, you could consider doing the same.
