The world of Auverture came to life Wednesday night, with a party held at Amsterdam’s Studio White Space to mark the launch of our new fine jewellery concept.
Jewellery collectors, designers and artists all turned out to get a first glimpse of Auverture, in a space that had been transformed into an ethereal forest. Lighting designers highlighted indoor sculptures specially constructed from tree branches, which created hauntingly beautiful shadows and convoluted shapes. The theme of the evening was “entangled by nature,” and the mise en scène conjured up an otherworldly, yet festive ambience.
As guests sipped Glühwein and nibbled on chocolates they wove their way around a real-life exhibition of the stunning fine jewellery pieces that are found online at Auverture. These standout designs were artfully displayed on patches of fresh moss, or hung on bare tree branches that had been sculpted into looming structures. A series of vitrines and bell jars also held the inventive designs.
“Many guests told us that they’d never before seen such a highly sought-after mix of international designer fine jewellery collections brought together quite like this,” said Bibi van der Velden, the jeweller, designer and artisan who is creative director and chief curator at Auverture. She added that guests were enchanted by seeing some of the most outstanding pieces on Auverture – by designers including Fernando Jorge, Venyx, Ileana Makri, Noor Fares, Pamela Love and Sara Beltrán – up close, right before their eyes.
Our Auverture roadshow doesn’t stop here, and continues as the festive period gathers pace. Next up, Auverture showcases will take place in Puerto Rico on December 3 and at The Crosby Street Hotel in New York City on December 7 and 8.
