Fernando Jorge & Bibi van der Velden Lunch Event

Crafted with Love, curated with Taste, worn with Character.

The lucky few of team Auverture and Bibi, heard Fernando Jorge talk about the inspiration behind his collections.

It was so incredibly interesting to see how he started off with soft shapes, played around with stones sourced from all around the world. A collection that would be called “Fluid”.

Meanwhile, the ‘Electric’ collection is full of gems, very precise and different. Then, ‘Fusion’. A stunning combination of the previous two. Furthermore, he spoke about ‘Bloom’ and the extremely special jewellery that was inspired from the colours of tropical flowers.

Finally, ‘Brilliant’ and ’Surround’. Brilliant is more, as the name describes, based on the stones chosen, as well as movement. Surround too is based on stones, but this time the stones used are surrounded by various materials. In fact, as you may already know, pieces from these collections were worn by an abundance of celebrities including Rihanna, Beyonce, Michelle Obama, Diane Kruger, Emma Stone, Julia Roberts and many more.

Soon after, the preparations were done, and the event began. The guests came in through a beautiful, green, tropical, pathway. As they entered inside a dark hall, they stopped to see a projection of both Fernando and Bibi discussing their pieces, inspiration and techniques. Finally, they were welcomed into the main room. Jewellery, tall vases filled with exotic flowers, beautifully set tables, and a whole lot of beautiful light.

One by one, the room filled quickly and the conversation began. It was fun, relaxed, exciting. The guests were sipping on their Caipirinhas throughout, waiting to soon sit and enjoy lunch.

Much love xx

Our ambition with Auverture United : make a long term impact in the fine jewellery industry

Auverture began in 2016 as an online destination for creative fine jewellery that celebrates individuality. At the time, we launched by gathering a community of 10 like-minded designers who shared that same vision and objective.   Four years later, as our beloved community of designers, customers, and followers has grown, our mission remains the same.
