To the Moon and Back

Slowly, silently, now the moon

Walks the night in her silver shoon;

This way, and that, she peers, and sees

Silver fruit upon silver trees;

One by one the casements catch

Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;

Couched in his kennel, like a log,

With paws of silver sleeps the dog;

From their shadowy cote the white breasts peep

Of doves in silver feathered sleep

A harvest mouse goes scampering by,

With silver claws, and silver eye;

And moveless fish in the water gleam,

By silver reeds in a silver stream.

Walter de la Mare, 1913

The earth’s connection with the moon is inevitable. In perfect cyclic movements, the moon directs earths rhythm; the ocean tides, its nature’s seasons. In synchronous rotation with the earth, every night she lids the earth with soft silver tones.

As the moon is an inspiration for many Auverture designers, this week we present amazing pieces, inspired by the magical and mystical moon.

The moon shows her ‘face’ gradually and presents it to us entirely once a month. The 18K rose gold and diamond set ‘Moon Phase’ collar by designer Pamela Love displays wonderfully this rhythmic phenomenon.pamela-love-moon-phase-necklace-auverture

The ‘Eclipse Ring’ by Noor Fares features a large, luminescent opal at its centre. This comes fashioned in 18ct grey gold and features a talismanic crescent moon shape that is pavé set with white diamonds. It’s a stunning ring with a captivating presence.

The ‘Moon Phase Mismatched Studs’ in 18k yellow gold set with pavé sapphires, by Pamela Love as well, represent the playfulness of the moonlight. The sapphires give an illusion of stars in the night.

Our designer Venyx fell in love with the mysterious moonstone. Her 18K yellow gold moon shaped ‘Lunoor Earrings’ looks very satisfied being incrusted with grey and blue tones moonstones, purplish chalcedony and diamonds.

Our ambition with Auverture United : make a long term impact in the fine jewellery industry

Auverture began in 2016 as an online destination for creative fine jewellery that celebrates individuality. At the time, we launched by gathering a community of 10 like-minded designers who shared that same vision and objective.   Four years later, as our beloved community of designers, customers, and followers has grown, our mission remains the same.
