Summer looks better with the Buttercup Yellow bracelet
This bracelet is a limited edition of 50 pieces and Designed by Auverture’s founder Bibi van der Velden in collaboration with British artist and designer Christopher Thompson Royds.
The design’s braided fabric bracelet is in a pale, shimmering yellow that brings to mind spun gold, and is adorned with a 14k yellow gold buttercup. At the end of the bracelet are two 14k gold toggles, to lend a further gilded touch. The longer length of the bracelet means that it can be adjusted to be worn either loose or snug around the wrist, so you can play with your look.
THE ENERGY OF YELLOW COMBINED WITH THE GOLD PROPERTIES
A colour that’s said to represent optimism, happiness, and creativity, yellow has an energy all of its own. It’s also a colour that’s evocative of the sun and the summer, something we’re particularly craving after a spring spent inside our homes. With that in mind, we think yellow is the perfect tone for our second Auverture Rainbow Bracelet.
And alongside being beautifully uplifting to look at, some believe gold has a healing, restorative effect on the body. With this noble, precious metal fashioned into a finely-crafted flower, it captures the beauty of nature, too
“The reflection of gold and yellow...I think it just works. It’s positive, it’s really happy, and is easy to wear,” says Christopher of his design. Indeed, he envisages the delicate piece as something that is “precious, but that you can wear every day.”
ONE BRACELET, MULTIPLE WAYS TO WEAR IT
"I love the simplicity of the thin braid that you can close with the golden organic buttercup. There are several ways of wearing this piece, with the buttercup on top of your wrist or casually hanging under your wrist. We also like it as an anklet, as the perfect accent to laid-back summer looks." says our curator Bibi van der Velden.
Another option is to wear it in your hair, which has a very Pre Raphaelite look to it.
WEAR IT ALONE OR STACK IT
The Buttercup Yellow Bracelet is a subtly striking design when worn alone. However, you can stack it with the Malachite Green (our first Auverture Rainbow Bracelet) to contrast these appealing hues or with any other bracelets of your choice within our curated selection.
Whether you want to show a loved one you’re thinking of them, or gift yourself, the Buttercup Yellow bracelet is a joy to wear.
